With the increasing aspirations among Cameroon’s youth to pursue higher education internationally, the Accelerator aims to demystify complex application procedures and simplify access to credible information. The organisers highlighted that the event will bring together international education professionals to offer tailored advice, address questions, and provide direct support to students preparing to study abroad.
Insight From the Press Briefing
At the conference, Roland Nkemasong, co-founder of GlobalEd Connect, emphasized the importance of student preparation and document readiness. He encouraged prospective attendees to submit required academic and identity documents through the organisation’s website or bring digital versions directly to the event venue.
In a key announcement, organisers revealed that admission fees will be waived for participants during the Accelerator Day, and admissions will be based on strict academic criteria defined by partner institutions.

GlobalEd Connect detailed a collaboration with Passage, a partner institution specialising in education financing. According to the organisers, qualifying students could receive funding covering up to 70 % of tuition and living expenses, easing one of the primary barriers to studying abroad.

The Accelerator is expected to feature about 20 partner institutions, primarily from Canada, offering a range of programmes from undergraduate to professional certifications. Organisers project attendance from 200 to 350 students, reflecting strong interest among local learners and their families.
