Documentary | New Life on the Nile

How have Egypt and China built seven decades of trust, and what might their partnership mean for the Global South?

Following the Nile northward, this documentary travels from a Nubian village confronting extreme heat, to a joint excavation at the Temple of Montu, and on to Africa’s tallest building rising from the desert.

After exploring how cooperation takes shape on the ground, it turns to former Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf for a reflection on the principles that have enabled the relationship to grow and deepen.
