Côte d’Ivoire : signature de deux accords de financement de la BID pour dynamiser la filière manioc

►►Le gouvernement ivoirien a signé avec la Banque islamique de développement (BID) deux accords portant sur un financement global de 45,9 milliards francs CFA (environ 79 millions de dollars) d’un projet de développement de la chaîne de valeur du manioc, a annoncé mercredi le porte-parole du gouvernement, Amadou Coulibaly.

ABIDJAN-Le premier accord, d’une somme d’environ 42,9 milliards (environ 73,9 millions de dollars), pose le cadre d’une vente à tempérament du manioc, et le deuxième, d’un montant d’environ 3 milliards francs CFA (environ 5,2 millions de dollars), concerne un accord de prêt, a indiqué M. Coulibaly.

 

 

Le projet vise à stimuler la chaîne de valeur du manioc, de la production à la commercialisation, en passant par la transformation. A travers ces étapes, le projet va créer des emplois, en particulier pour les jeunes et les femmes, et accroître les revenus des ménages dans la filière.

Le manioc sert à fabriquer l’attiéké, recette principale de la gastronomie ivoirienne qui a été labellisée en mai 2024 par l’Organisation africaine de la propriété intellectuelle (OAPI).
