Tunisian Prime Minister Najla Bouden inspected a newly-built school in Tunis on Thursday, when the country’s primary and secondary schools opened.

Bouden visited various facilities of the school and communicated with students. After the inspection, she said that human resources are an important asset of Tunisia.

Tunisian families always attach great importance to education. The government will continue to increase investment in education to ensure that schools at all levels have a safe and good teaching environment, she added.

Relevant institutions in Tunisia have stated that, due to the impact of COVID-19, the education quality and teaching conditions in the country have declined compared with previous years. The illiteracy rate has also increased recently.
